Hi, my name is Alex. I'm an Associate Professional Counselor (APC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) in the state of Georgia. I hold Master of Education (MEd) and Education Specialist (EdS) degrees in Counselor Education, with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from Clemson University. I have been providing counseling services for five years, with post-graduate positions in outpatient psychiatry, hospitals, and private practice.
I provide therapy for adult individuals experiencing challenges related to a broad range of concerns, such as grief and loss, mood disorders, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, complex trauma, family conflict, relational challenges, and life transitions. I also provide counseling services for couples experiencing challenges related to grief and loss, feelings of disconnection, and life transitions.
My approach is grounded in a person-centered philosophy and informed by cognitive behavioral, family systems, and psychodynamic therapies. I blend depth-oriented exploration with practical strategies to support meaningful and sustainable change. I also utilize imagery rescripting to help clients reshape distressing and traumatic memories.
I see individuals and couples under the supervision of Margo Rice, PhD, LPC, NCC, ACP, and the direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT.
