$50 per person includes 2 hours Continuing Education credit for Core Ethics hours for LMFT, LPC and LCSW.
Course Description:
In AAMFT’s Code of Ethics, Sub-principle 1.3 addresses the issue of the possible exploitation of and the misuse of power and influence involved when multiple relationships are occurring. In our LMFT and LPC training and education, we were all encouraged to avoid multiple relationships, but were NOT well trained in HOW to manage these relationships when they are present. This two-hour workshop will focus on the challenges that therapists often face with their clients, their supervisors, their colleagues, and their work supervisors when multiple relationships are unavoidable and attempt to offer ethical guidelines and possible therapeutic guidelines that decreases the likelihood of doing harm. Finally, this workshop will also explore what the possible benefits are when multiple relationships foster healthy human development.
