Palmer McCluskey, LPC
Office Location: Atlanta
I am very passionate about helping other people as I believe that every person is inherently worthy of living a life of wholeness, meaning, and flourishing.
Much of my clinical experience includes working with individual adults and adolescents who are struggling with issues like depression, anxiety (including OCD), and addiction (i.e., substances and unwanted sexual behaviors). I also enjoy working with people who are simply in the process of adjusting to challenging life circumstances and events (i.e., graduating from college, the loss of a loved one or relationship, retirement). In all of these cases, I believe that change and healing take place in the context of relationships with others, and I consider it a privilege to cultivate therapeutic relationships with people who are working towards making meaningful changes.
My integrative and highly relational approach to counseling draws from several theories of psychotherapy, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Focused Trauma Care (NFTC). As a clinician who has an educational background in theological studies, I am well equipped to integrate spirituality into sessions as desired and needed by clients, always with the intention of helping clients to achieve their goals.
If you find yourself feeling stuck and desiring a more values-driven and integrated life, I would love to connect with you and explore how I might help you on that journey.
