If your life and relationships aren’t going the way you’d like, if your marriage feels painful, if you’re at your limit with your children’s behavior, if you want to do things differently but feel stuck — I’d like to help.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Georgia and I work with men, couples, parents, families and children (ages 8+). I also facilitate Men’s groups, and offer MFT supervision.
Anxiety, depression, self-esteem, intimacy, personal boundaries, confidence, parenting issues, life transitions, divorce and its impact on the children — all of these can be overwhelming and difficult to navigate well. I offer an open space where we can examine together old pains that are difficult to move past, current patterns in relationships, and discuss what you want out of life. I believe that within such an environment stuck feelings can loosen, new possibilities become available, and new patterns of relating and behavior can be practiced.
Extensively trained in Couples Counseling and Parent Coaching and Training, I am Level 2 Certified in Restoration Therapy: a blend of CBT and EFT designed for couples and individuals to highlight stuck patterns of pain and find new patterns of peace. I’m also Certified as a “Relationship Strong” group leader, for couples and singles to explore healthy ways of relating and communication. I’m a Certified Family Wellness Educator and a Certified Positive Discipline Educator allowing me to teach healthy family principles and strategies through seminars and small group discussions. I have been trained in the therapeutic use of Interpersonal Neurobiology, under the guidance of Dr. Tina Bryson, coauthor of “The Whole Brain Child” with Dan Siegel.
I know it can feel strange and vulnerable to reach out to an unknown therapist in a time of need. But from my own story, I know how much healing, freedom, and clarity can come from therapy. I encourage you if you’re hurting or need extra support, please reach out. Life isn’t meant to be lived alone.
