Kelly Ruminski, Ph.D.

PRONOUNS: SHE/HER

Office Location: Atlanta

I believe in the connection of mind, body, and spirit. Allow me to take you on a journey of healing, one breath at a time.

It all starts with a strong therapeutic relationship, one that is open, safe, and fosters growth. My approach in therapy is values-driven, and client-centered, utilizing evidenced-based approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment therapy.

I have extensive training in health psychology, which identifies the impact of biological, psychological and social factors on your health and well-being. Specifically, I recently obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Health Psychology. Also, I completed my internship at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Affairs Medical Center, within the Health Psychology track. I treat individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and adjustment-related issues in the context of their physical health. I specialize in working with adults living with chronic health conditions in both individual and group therapy.

Mental and physical well-being are not separate entities. Incorporating movement into the body while engaging in therapy offers a holistic approach to healing. I also offer individual therapy while walking in nature at your pace.

I am currently seeing clients in the Midtown office and virtually. Please reach out with any questions. I look forward to meeting you!

I work under the direct supervision of Dr. Amy Smith-Barnes, Psy.D.
