Trust the process, progress comes from being uncomfortable, and a willingness to learn and a desire to improve yourself is key to healing.

I’m Burke Addison, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor within the state of Georgia. I provide a therapeutic setting where trust, comfort, a working collaborative relationship, and a non-judgmental, welcoming space to allow the client to open up and discuss intimate, personal struggles or issues.

I believe establishing rapport and creating a firm foundation of trust and partnership initially is necessary to begin the actual therapeutic work. My counseling approach is rooted in the application of client-centered, solution-focused and problem-solving, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, familial-systems, and behavioral theories. I work well with a broad range of clients of all ages and backgrounds, including teens and adolescent behavioral issues, American Sign Language/Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, men’s issues, relationship issues, parent-training, ADHD, and self-esteem struggles. My aim is to meet you where you are at in your journey of seeking help and providing you the necessary skills, tools, wisdom, and encouragement to overcome and conquer the battles you face.

My professional experience before private practice started off at an intensive behavioral modification program for addicts and alcoholics, as a wilderness guide for at-risk youth, an applied behavioral analysis provider for non-verbal teens with autism, and then as a middle school counselor at a school for ASD and learning differences.

I’m youthful at heart, bring a mindset of “never giving up” and “challenging yourself” which was acquired through my experiences in MMA and extreme whitewater kayaking and surfing. I look forward to working alongside you, and please feel free to call for an initial consultation.
