Evidence-based intervention, tailored to you. Your story matters.
While I see a little bit of everything in my practice, my specialties are treating anxiety disorders, PTSD, “big T” and “little t" trauma, and depression. I also enjoy helping clients navigate issues related to spirituality, self-worth, and difficult family relationships. I find great fulfillment in working alongside people who are redefining their beliefs and worldviews.
My therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual, but the foundation of my work is my belief in the inherent dignity of all people and creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard. With this as the foundation, I incorporate evidence-based theories and intervention (namely: CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness approaches, ERP for OCD, and CPT for trauma). While I operate from a client-centered and collaborative viewpoint, I also provide tangible suggestions, directive strategies, and clear feedback when relevant. My clients have described me as warm, genuine, and someone who asks good questions. My hope is that our work together can be both supportive and challenging.
On a personal note, I actively participate in my local church and have received educational training in the integration of spirituality and psychology. I am a military spouse and have worked extensively with veterans and their families facing military-related issues. I am deeply familiar with these communities – the good and the bad – and if it is desired by you we can integrate this into our work together. That being said, I celebrate diversity of thought and backgrounds, and every part of you is welcome in the therapy room and our relationship together. I established my practice in Atlanta a few years ago, and I currently live with my spouse, 2 year old son, and labradoodle in Germany.
I’m glad you are here, and if you feel that we might be a good fit, please feel free to contact me directly.
