Deciding to seek therapy means something different to each person who embarks on the journey. My priority is to provide a safe space in which we can work together to accomplish your goals, develop a deeper understanding of who you are, and discover what healing and growth mean to you.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in a genuine interest in exploring self-awareness, inner resources, acceptance, and commitment toward meaningful change. Person Centered Therapy blended with a Choice Theory perspective guide my theoretical approach with clients. With over 15 years of experience working in corporate settings, I am skilled at assisting professionals experiencing work related stress and anxiety.
I work with teens age 14 and up, adults of all ages, and couples experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, career counseling, relationship challenges, and trauma. I also enjoy working with individuals interested in exploring the mind body connection with respect to autoimmune conditions.
I hold a BA in Sociology and earned my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia State University. My clinical experience includes working in a local school system with elementary, middle, and high school students and staff, providing counseling and coaching for parents, and brief substance use interventions. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, reading, traveling, and practicing yoga. Currently I am working under the clinical supervision of Matt Dooley, LPC, NCC, CPCS, and the clinical direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT.
