Dr. drew Dixon karris, Psyd

Office Location: Atlanta

My goal is to foster a collaborative, respectful environment where you can explore who you are, what you care about, and how you want to move forward, guided by what matters most to you.

I offer psychological testing for ages 5+ and therapy for ages 9+. I conduct psychoeducational, diagnostic, autism and ADHD, and career evaluations. I have a particular interest in working in therapy with autistic people who are experiencing isolation, anxiety, and depression. I also work with eating disorders and gender dysphoria.

At the heart of my work is a commitment to practicing psychological flexibility - the ability to stay present, connect with what matters most, and take action aligned with our values, even when it’s difficult. This allows us to shift from rigid patterns of coping into more empowering, compassionate ways of engaging with ourselves and the world.

You can expect me to be affirming of gender identity, autism and other neurodivergent brains, and body liberation. I recognize that many experiences of distress are deeply tied to systems of marginalization, and I strive to create a space where all aspects of identity are welcomed and honored.

I earned my doctoral degree from Mercer University College of Health Professions. I am a US Navy Veteran, trained by the Center for Deployment Psychology in Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, and ACT. I hold an active license to practice in the state of Virginia, and am currently working toward licensure in Georgia under the supervision of Dr. Kia Silva, Psy.D.
