Counseling services for individuals and couples
If you're carrying depression, grief, and trauma, or feeling unheard or pressured to move on before you're ready, you're not alone. You want to find your voice, build honest connections, and heal without having to be perfect. Therapy can be a place to start easing some of the weight that comes with being human.
I provide counseling services for individuals and couples experiencing challenges related to grief and loss, mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress, relational trauma, anxiety, communication concerns, and life transitions. I have a passion for working with people who have been affected by cancer.
I bring a relational approach to therapy, drawing from cognitive behavioral, family systems, and psychodynamic perspectives. My approach is warm and direct, emphasizing mindfulness, self-compassion, disputation of the inner critic, and moving with values that are most important to you. I hold Master of Education and Education Specialist degrees in Counselor Education, with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from Clemson University. I've been providing counseling services for five years, with post-graduate positions in outpatient psychiatry, hospitals, and private practice. I see individuals and couples under the clinical supervision of Margo Rice, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, ACS, and clinical direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT.
